It’s 2014, the Year of My First Marathon!!

As I go running into 2014, literally, I am feeling the healthiest and happiest that I can remember in a long time. I enjoyed a wonderful 5 mile run today in the chilly, yet comfortable, winter air. The time with my thoughts helped me reflect on all of the personal changes I made in 2013 and look forward to all of the great things to come in 2014.

I am so excited about the mental and physical challenges of the coming months that will lead me to completing the Boston Marathon. The support from my friends, family and colleagues continues to inspire me each and every day and please know you are all a huge part of my success on this journey.
I am thankful for the health and physical ability to commit to taking on this challenge.  I see my patients day in and day out facing their own challenges as they are starting their rehabilitation journeys following some truly traumatic events. For that reason, I continue to be honored to run and fundraise to support Spaulding Rehabilitation Hosptial, the organization that is helping all of my patients, and many others, find their stength to once again set goals for long, healthy and active lives.

I’m looking forward to 2014 more than any other year I can remember in recent history. Thank you to everyone who has already contributed to my run and thank you in advance to all of those who I know are planning to donate.
A happy and healthy year to all!
